Crispy air fryer tofu

Tofu cubes marinated in soy, crunchy outside and tender inside.

Rico's note: The air fryer changes everything about tofu — if you've always found it soft, this gives it a crust you won't be expecting.

Ingredients

  • 400 g (14 oz) extra-firm tofu, cubed
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch (20 g / ¾ oz)
  • 30 g (1 oz) soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (10 g)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (10 g)
  • garlic powder and smoked paprika, to taste

Method

  1. Pat the tofu very dry with paper towels and cut it into cubes of about 2 cm (¾ in).
  2. In a bowl, toss the tofu with the soy sauce and let it marinate for 10 minutes.
