Quantities and times are a starting point: adjust them to your taste. Two things don't change: poultry and ground meat must be cooked all the way through, and allergens — always check the labels.

Caramelized ginger and honey turkey

Turkey cutlets with a sweet and spicy glaze, ready in under 40 minutes.

Rico's note: For when the fridge only has turkey and you want to steer clear of the obvious — fresh ginger changes everything.

Ingredients

  • 2 turkey breast cutlets (320 g / 11½ oz) — about 160 g each
  • 2 tsp fresh ginger, grated (4 g)
  • 1 tbsp honey (15 g / ½ oz)
  • 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce (15 g / ½ oz)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (10 g)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (6 g)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (2 g)

Method

  1. In a bowl, combine the ginger, honey, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic and paprika.
  2. Set aside 1 tbsp of the marinade for the end. Coat the cutlets in the rest and let them sit for 15 minutes.
