We sell digital files (PDF). You get the download link on screen and by email right after payment. This page says when we refund, when we don't, and how to ask.
See what you're buying before you buy
A PDF can't be handed back: once downloaded, it stays with you. So instead of promising refunds afterwards, we show as much as we can up front. Every book page lists the full contents, with the name of every recipe inside — none hidden. And every one of those recipes has its own free page on this site with the complete ingredient list, the macros per serving, the allergens and the start of the method. What's kept for the book is the full method, Rico's tip, the variations, storage advice and the version for the Thermomix® or similar.
Still unsure? Email us before you buy and we'll answer.
We always refund in these cases
If you didn't get what you paid for, we refund — no arguing:
- The file won't open, is corrupted, or the download link doesn't work and we can't fix it.
- You bought the same product twice by mistake.
- You bought one product instead of another and told us before downloading it.
- You were charged without having bought anything.
- The content doesn't match what the product page says — fewer recipes than stated, missing sections, a different book.
Time limit: ask within 14 days of the purchase date. After that we'll keep helping you fix the technical problem, but we no longer promise a refund.
Why there are no change-of-mind refunds
The book is still with whoever downloaded it, so we don't refund people who downloaded it and changed their mind. We're a small project and that's the only way this works. The cases above, those we always refund.
If you're in the EU or the UK: the law gives you 14 days to cancel an online purchase, but for digital content delivered immediately that right ends once delivery starts with your express consent and acknowledgement (Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(m); in Portugal, Decree-Law No. 24/2014, Article 17(1)(m); in the UK, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, regulation 37). At checkout you tick a box asking for immediate access and acknowledging that you lose that cancellation period. That's what makes the instant download possible.
If you're in the United States, Australia, New Zealand or elsewhere: there is generally no legal right to cancel an online purchase of digital content just because you changed your mind, so the same policy applies: we refund in the cases listed above, not for change of mind.
Your legal rights
Nothing on this page limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer, and we don't try to exclude them. Wherever you are, if the file is faulty, doesn't match its description or doesn't do what a recipe ebook should reasonably do, you're entitled to a fix, a replacement or your money back under your local law — for example:
- United Kingdom — Consumer Rights Act 2015, sections 34–36 (digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described) and the remedies in sections 42–45.
- Australia — the consumer guarantees in the Australian Consumer Law (acceptable quality, match description). They can't be excluded, and this page is not a “no refunds” policy.
- New Zealand — the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, which covers digital products.
- Portugal and the EU — Decree-Law No. 84/2021 (conformity of digital content) and Directive (EU) 2019/770.
- United States — the consumer protection laws of your state and the FTC Act.
How to ask, and how long it takes
Email [email protected] from the address you used to buy, with the order number if you have it (it's in the Paddle receipt). We reply within two business days. You can also request a refund directly from Paddle, the seller of record, at paddle.net (“Request refund”) or through the link in your receipt.
Refunds are issued by Paddle to the same payment method. Card refunds usually show up within 3 to 10 business days depending on your bank; PayPal refunds are faster.
If you're not happy with our answer: EU consumers can use the Portuguese Complaints Book (livroreclamacoes.pt) or a consumer dispute resolution entity (consumidor.gov.pt); consumers elsewhere keep the complaint channels listed under “Disputes” in our Terms of use.
