Turkey burgers with smashed avocado

A light alternative to the classic burger, ready in half an hour.

Ingredients

  • 300 g (10½ oz) ground turkey
  • 1 ripe avocado (200 g / 7 oz)
  • ½ lemon, juice only (15 g / ½ oz)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (10 g)
  • 10 g chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp turmeric (3 g)
  • 1 egg (50 g / 1¾ oz)
  • salt and black pepper, to taste
  • lettuce leaves — optional, to serve
  • tomato — optional, to serve

Method

  1. In a bowl, mix the ground turkey with the garlic, parsley, turmeric, egg, salt and pepper until it binds.
  2. With wet hands, shape into 4 medium burgers.
