Strawberry and basil infused water

Lightly sweet from the strawberries alone, with an unexpected herbal note.

Rico's note: Strawberry and basil sounds strange, but give it a try — the combination works surprisingly well.

Ingredients

  • 600 ml (2½ cups) water
  • 100 g (3½ oz) strawberries, halved
  • fresh basil leaves, to taste (8 g)
  • ice, as needed

Method

  1. Wash the strawberries and cut them in half.
  2. Gently bruise the basil leaves between your fingers to release their aroma.

The full method (5 steps), Rico's tip, the variations and storage are in the ebook “Snacks & Sweets”. The English edition is coming soon.
