Spinach, cucumber and mint green juice

A fresh green juice to drink on an empty stomach, straight from the juicer to the glass.

Rico's note: On mornings when you head to the gym early, wash and cut everything the night before — then all you have to do is switch on the juicer.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh spinach (60 g / 2 oz)
  • 1 cucumber (300 g / 10½ oz)
  • 2 stalks celery (80 g / 2¾ oz)
  • 1 green apple (150 g / 5½ oz)
  • 1 lemon, juice only (30 g / 1 oz)
  • 5 fresh mint leaves (2 g)
  • water, as needed — only if you use a blender

Method

  1. Wash the spinach, cucumber, celery and apple well.
  2. Cut everything into pieces and run it through the juicer. If you're using a blender, blend with a little water and strain through a fine-mesh sieve.
