Steamed turkey meatballs with mashed potatoes

Light steamed meatballs, with mashed potatoes made in the same bowl.

Rico's note: Turkey meatballs are lighter steamed than fried, and the mash comes out of the same bowl.

Ingredients

  • 500 g (1 lb) ground turkey
  • 1 egg (50 g / 1¾ oz)
  • 30 g (1 oz) breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic (6 g)
  • parsley, salt and pepper, to taste
  • 600 g (1¼ lb) potato — for the mash
  • 100 ml (½ cup) reduced-fat milk
  • nutmeg, to taste

Method

  1. In a bowl, mix the ground turkey with the egg, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, parsley, salt and pepper.
  2. Shape into walnut-sized meatballs.
