Quinoa porridge with cinnamon and nuts

Warm, filling, and free of wheat flour.

Rico's note: On colder days, swap your usual oats for this — quinoa makes a thicker porridge that keeps you full longer.

Ingredients

  • 60 g (2 oz) quinoa, uncooked
  • 250 ml (1 cup) unsweetened almond milk
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon (2 g)
  • 30 g (1 oz) chopped walnuts and almonds
  • 50 g (1¾ oz) berries
  • 1 tbsp flaxseeds (10 g)

Method

  1. Rinse the quinoa well under running water in a fine-mesh strainer.
  2. Put the quinoa and almond milk in a saucepan.
