Hake with potatoes and broccoli in the Varoma

Steamed white fish and vegetables, finished with a drizzle of olive oil and garlic.

Rico's note: Steamed hake with potatoes is the dinner for when you don't want to think too hard.

Ingredients

  • 2 hake loins (300 g / 10½ oz)
  • 250 g (9 oz) potato, thinly sliced
  • 200 g (7 oz) broccoli florets
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (10 g)
  • 2 cloves garlic (6 g)
  • 1 bay leaf (1 g)
  • parsley, salt and pepper, to taste

Method

  1. In a pot fitted with a steamer basket, bring water to a boil with the bay leaf.
  2. Put the potato in the basket, cover and let it cook for 8 to 10 minutes.
