Quantities and times are a starting point: adjust them to your taste. Two things don't change: poultry and ground meat must be cooked all the way through, and allergens — always check the labels.

Green tea with lemon and ginger

The morning basic, without turning on the kettle twice.

Rico's note: Sip it while you wait for the shower water to heat up — it won't even have time to cool down.

Ingredients

  • 1 green tea bag (2 g)
  • 250 ml (1 cup) water
  • ½ lemon (30 g / 1 oz) — juice and slices
  • ½ tsp fresh ginger, grated (3 g) — optional
  • mint leaves, to taste — optional

Method

  1. Heat the water to about 80 °C (176 °F), without letting it boil.
  2. Pour it over the green tea bag in a mug.
