Chicken burgers with vegetables in the Varoma

Homemade steamed burgers, juicy and with no extra fat.

Rico's note: A steamed chicken burger isn't what you imagine — it comes out juicy, with no oil at all.

Ingredients

  • 600 g (1¼ lb) ground chicken
  • 1 egg (50 g / 1¾ oz)
  • 30 g (1 oz) oat flour
  • 50 g (1¾ oz) chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic (3 g)
  • 200 g (7 oz) carrot sticks
  • 200 g (7 oz) broccoli florets
  • parsley, salt and pepper, to taste

Method

  1. In a bowl, mix the ground chicken with the egg, oat flour, onion, minced garlic, parsley, salt and pepper.
  2. Shape into four burgers, about 2 cm (¾ in) thick.
