Quantities and times are a starting point: adjust them to your taste. Two things don't change: poultry and ground meat must be cooked all the way through, and allergens — always check the labels.

Banana and cocoa "nice cream"

Creamy with just banana and cocoa, and not a single gram of added sugar.

Rico's note: Keep ripe bananas sliced in the freezer — it's one of the cheapest snacks you can make at home, and this is where they end up.

Ingredients

  • 3 medium ripe bananas, sliced (360 g / 12½ oz)
  • 15 g (½ oz) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 100 ml (½ cup) unsweetened almond milk

Method

  1. Blend the bananas, cocoa and almond milk until you have a smooth cream — the banana is sweet enough on its own.
  2. Pour into the pint container without going past the MAX line.
