Values are for the first option listed in the ingredients; substitutions and variations change them. Carbs exclude fiber; energy uses the EU conversion factors (fiber at 2 kcal/g). Quantities and times are a starting point: adjust them to your taste. Two things don't change: poultry and ground meat must be cooked all the way through, and allergens — always check the labels.

Baked apples with cinnamon and lemon

The classic baked dessert, ready in half an hour and sweetened only by the apple.

Rico's note: Pop these in the oven while you shower after your workout and eat them still warm. It's about the laziest dessert there is.

Ingredients

  • 2 large reinette apples (400 g / 14 oz)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon (2 g)
  • 1 organic lemon, zest only (2 g)
  • 2 tbsp water (30 g / 1 oz)
  • 1 cinnamon stick (3 g)
  • 10 g sliced almonds — optional

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F).
  2. Wash the apples and remove the core with a spoon or an apple corer, without going all the way through the bottom.

The full method (6 steps), Rico's tip, the variations and storage are in the ebook “Air Fryer”. The English edition is coming soon.
