Air fryer garlic and cilantro shrimp

An 18-minute appetizer that looks restaurant-made, with nothing fried.

Rico's note: A lifesaver when you get home late: marinate in five minutes and the air fryer does the rest while you shower.

Ingredients

  • 300 g (10½ oz) peeled tiger shrimp — tail removed, if you prefer
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced (20 g / ¾ oz)
  • 1 lemon, zest and juice (20 g / ¾ oz)
  • 20 g (¾ oz) fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1½ tbsp extra-virgin olive oil (15 g / ½ oz)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (2 g)
  • salt and black pepper, to taste

Method

  1. Peel the shrimp, remove the dark vein and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, mix the garlic, lemon juice, paprika, olive oil, salt and pepper, and toss the shrimp in it.
