Of which 16.9 g sugars and 2.2 g saturated fat.

Values are for the first option listed in the ingredients; substitutions and variations change them. Carbs exclude fiber; energy uses the EU conversion factors (fiber at 2 kcal/g). Source for sugars and saturated fat: Portuguese Food Composition Database (Base de Dados da Composição de Alimentos), Instituto Nacional de Saúde Doutor Ricardo Jorge, I. P. — INSA, v 7.1 - 2026.

Quantities and times are a starting point: adjust them to your taste. Two things don't change: poultry and ground meat must be cooked all the way through, and allergens — always check the labels.

Vegan vanilla cardamom

Warm spice aroma in a creamy almond-based ice cream.

Rico's note: Cardamom can seem unusual the first time; by the second, it's on your list for good.

Ingredients

  • 300 ml (1¼ cups) unsweetened coconut milk beverage
  • 30 g (1 oz) vanilla plant-based protein powder
  • 40 g (1½ oz) pitted dates
  • 15 g (½ oz) almond butter
  • vanilla essence, to taste
  • ground cardamom, to taste — the tip of a teaspoon, it's strong

Method

  1. Soak the dates in warm water for 10 minutes, then drain well.
  2. Put all the ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth, with no lumps.
