Steamed fish with ginger and Asian vegetables

White fish steamed with broccoli, bok choy and carrot — beautifully light.

Rico's note: Choose this when you want to eat well without feeling heavy afterwards — steaming keeps everything just right.

Ingredients

  • 200 g (7 oz) hake or sea bass fillets
  • 2 tbsp fresh ginger, grated (15 g / ½ oz)
  • 1 small head of broccoli, cut into florets (200 g / 7 oz)
  • 2 bok choy, halved (150 g / 5½ oz)
  • 1 carrot, cut into sticks (80 g / 2¾ oz)
  • 15 g (½ oz) gluten-free soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil (10 g)
  • 8 g sesame seeds

Method

  1. Season the fish fillets with the grated ginger and half the soy sauce.
  2. Cut the broccoli into florets, the bok choy in half and the carrot into thin sticks.
