Ginger and lemon shot

A fiery little sip to knock back before your coffee.

Rico's note: Perfect for mornings when you know it's going to be a long day — knock it back in one go before you leave the house.

Ingredients

  • 1 piece (2 cm / ¾ in) fresh ginger, peeled and grated (25 g / 1 oz)
  • ½ lemon, juice only (20 g / ¾ oz)
  • 2 tbsp cold water (30 g / 1 oz)

Method

  1. Peel the ginger and grate it very finely.
  2. Squeeze the grated ginger through a clean cotton cloth, or run it through the juicer, to extract the juice.
