Beet, orange and raspberry smoothie

Wine-red, with a balance of earthy and tart.

Rico's note: Pick up vacuum-packed cooked beets for this smoothie — it saves time and the result is exactly the same.

Ingredients

  • 1 small cooked beet (80 g / 2¾ oz) — precooked, vacuum-packed
  • 1 orange, peeled (150 g / 5½ oz)
  • 1 cup frozen raspberries (100 g / 3½ oz)
  • 1 small piece fresh ginger, peeled and grated (5 g)

Method

  1. Cut the cooked beet into pieces.
  2. Peel the orange and separate it into segments.

The full method (4 steps), Rico's tip, the Thermomix® or similar version, the variations and storage are in the ebook “Juices, Shots & Soups”. The English edition is coming soon.
