Bananas Foster with pecans

Bananas caramelized in the air fryer, with pecans and a touch of cinnamon.

Rico's note: After a simple dinner, this takes care of a sweet craving in twenty minutes. Choose bananas that are ripe but still firm, or they'll fall apart in the air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe but firm bananas, halved lengthwise (240 g / 8½ oz)
  • 10 g coconut oil
  • 30 g (1 oz) coconut sugar
  • 5 g ground cinnamon
  • 30 g (1 oz) chopped pecans
  • 5 ml vanilla extract — optional
  • 1 pinch fleur de sel (1 g)

Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C (350 °F).
  2. In a small bowl, mix the melted coconut oil, coconut sugar and cinnamon into a paste.
