Tuna burgers

Little tuna and carrot patties, ready in 15 minutes.

Rico's note: Make a batch on Sunday and eat them cold, straight from the fridge, as a mid-afternoon snack.

Ingredients

  • 3 cans of tuna in water, drained (300 g / 10½ oz)
  • ½ cup egg whites, 4 whites or 2 eggs (120 g / 4 oz)
  • 1 grated carrot (60 g / 2 oz)
  • ½ chopped red onion (60 g / 2 oz)
  • chopped parsley, to taste (5 g)
  • salt, pepper and garlic powder, to taste
  • other vegetables, as desired (optional)
  • olive oil, for greasing (5 g)
  • yogurt sauce, to serve, recipe in this ebook (60 g / 2 oz)

Method

  1. In a bowl, combine the drained tuna, grated carrot, chopped onion, parsley and seasonings.
  2. Add the egg whites and mix everything together very well, until the mixture holds its shape in your hands.
