Oven-roasted chestnuts with coarse salt

The fall snack that fills the house with the smell of roasting chestnuts.

Rico's note: When the cold sets in, this is the snack to have in front of the TV instead of raiding the cookie drawer.

Ingredients

  • 500 g (1 lb) fresh chestnuts
  • 2 tbsp coarse salt (30 g / 1 oz) — for dusting; not all of it is eaten

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 °C (400 °F).
  2. With a sharp knife, cut a cross into the top of each chestnut so they don't burst in the oven.

The full method (6 steps), Rico's tip, the variations and storage are in the ebook “Air Fryer”. The English edition is coming soon.
