Lettuce wraps with turkey and hummus
No bread: lettuce, turkey and hummus rolled up in minutes.
Ingredients
- 6 large lettuce leaves, romaine or iceberg (60 g / 2 oz)
- 200 g (7 oz) turkey breast cutlets
- ½ cup hummus (120 g / 4 oz)
- 1 medium tomato, finely diced (120 g / 4 oz)
- ½ cucumber, finely diced (100 g / 3½ oz)
- 1 small carrot, grated (50 g / 1¾ oz)
- ½ bell pepper (any color), cut into thin strips (50 g / 1¾ oz)
- ½ ripe avocado, sliced (75 g / 2¾ oz)
- salt and black pepper (optional), to taste
Method
- Wash the lettuce leaves well and dry them thoroughly.
- Spread a thin layer of hummus on the inside of each leaf.
