Green spinach, pineapple and banana smoothie bowl

Bright green and sweet — the spinach is only there for the color.

Rico's note: The bowl version of the classic green smoothie — swapping the glass for a spoon makes it more filling at breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 40 g (1½ oz) baby spinach — a handful
  • 150 g (5½ oz) frozen pineapple chunks
  • 100 g (3½ oz) frozen banana, sliced
  • 80 ml (¼ cup) unsweetened almond milk
  • 15 g (½ oz) pumpkin seeds (to decorate)
  • 1 kiwi, sliced, to decorate (50 g / 1¾ oz)

Method

  1. Put the almond milk, spinach, frozen pineapple and frozen banana in the blender.
  2. Blend until completely smooth and thick, stopping to scrape down the sides.
