The chocolate version of the sweet banana scramble, creamy and ready in minutes.

Rico's note: The chocolatey sister of the sweet banana scramble — for when breakfast has to taste like dessert but still take protein seriously.

Ingredients

  • ½ ripe banana (60 g / 2 oz)
  • 1 egg (50 g / 1¾ oz)
  • 25 g (1 oz) chocolate protein powder
  • 10 g reduced-fat cocoa powder
  • cinnamon, to taste
  • sugar, to taste — optional; no added sugar: sweetener to taste

Method

  1. In a bowl, mash the banana with a fork to a purée.
  2. Add the egg, protein powder, cocoa powder and cinnamon, and mix until you have a smooth batter with no lumps.
