Almond-crusted chicken nuggets

A homemade version with no frying, crispy outside and juicy inside.

Rico's note: For when you're craving fast food — these come out as crispy as the fried version, without the frying.

Ingredients

  • 300 g (10½ oz) chicken breast, cut into pieces
  • 80 g (2¾ oz) ground almonds
  • 1 egg (50 g / 1¾ oz)
  • 1 tsp turmeric (3 g)
  • 1 tsp paprika (2 g)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (3 g)
  • salt and black pepper, to taste

Method

  1. In a bowl, mix the ground almonds with the turmeric, paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  2. Beat the egg in another bowl.
