Quantities and times are a starting point: adjust them to your taste. Two things don't change: poultry and ground meat must be cooked all the way through, and allergens — always check the labels.

Açaí smoothie bowl with banana and granola

The classic purple bowl, ready in 10 minutes and sweetened only with fruit.

Rico's note: Take it to work in a sealed jar with the granola packed separately, and put the bowl together only when it's time to eat.

Ingredients

  • 100 g (3½ oz) frozen unsweetened açaí pulp
  • 150 g (5½ oz) frozen banana, sliced
  • 50 ml (3½ tbsp) unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tbsp sugar-free granola, to decorate (20 g / ¾ oz)
  • 10 g shredded coconut (for garnish)
  • 3 sliced strawberries, to decorate (30 g / 1 oz)

Method

  1. Blend the frozen açaí, frozen banana and almond milk in the blender into a thick cream, stopping to scrape down the sides.
  2. Transfer to a deep bowl.
