Roasted tomato bruschetta

Toasted rye bread with roasted tomatoes and fresh basil.

Rico's note: Serve this as an appetizer when friends come over — it all comes together in the air fryer in 18 minutes, without messing up the kitchen.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices rye bread (120 g / 4 oz)
  • 200 g (7 oz) cherry tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic (6 g)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (15 g / ½ oz)
  • fresh basil leaves, to taste
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • balsamic vinegar, to taste

Method

  1. Roast the cherry tomatoes in the air fryer with a drizzle of olive oil, salt and one whole garlic clove, at 200 °C (400 °F) for 8 minutes.
  2. Toast the rye bread slices in the air fryer at 180 °C (350 °F) for 5 minutes, until crisp.
